Book Coach’s Big Tip…Think big and develop strong income avenues that could include premier consulting or coaching besides your book.
Make sure you give these to your subscriber lists in between the blog posts you submit. I usually send one email to nurture my already savvy consultants, coaches, solo professionals and fans such as this free tip. In another email, I actually pitch an ebook, book coaching session, or ecourse–laser focused to my ideal audience.
You specific audience wants specifics such as cherry pie alamode rather than just dessert!
After your launch of 20 targeted informational pieces or podcasts, Send up to 5 emails including nurturing like a dog licking your feet. Or, in between, a freebie made of useful blueprints, cheat sheets, or short ereports or ebooks that demonstrate your value to a prospective client.
Make them short and easy to read.
Here’s 5 Ways to Make your Emails Sell Anything…Ideas, Products, Services
1. Be specific. Use exact words. You may need to consult an online Thesaurus. Create vivid word pictures and engage your audience’s imagination. Metaphors rock! Did you catch any above?
2. Keep words and sentences short. Instead of “utilize” try “use.” The shorter word is always right because your audience will throw stone at pompous words. Create sentences that start with a subject followed by an action verb. Stay away from linking verbs in business writing .Although many fiction writers love “is” “there is” and other no action verbs like believe, feel, begin.
3. Make your email skimmable. Use headlines, bullet points. Remember, your audience is so busy, they demand easy and short. Give them what they want.
4. Use emotional words and phrases to connect with your fans. Think phrases like “do you feel disappointed in your book progress? Or, “do you see yourself and your book successful with a big smile on your face?” Or, “would you like to overcome your doubts, so you can finish your book and grow your business with solutions from a devoted book coach?
5. Know your audience’s pain points-what keeps him up at night? Know these before you write anything or it will fall on deaf ears! Find out what she worries about in your expertise arena. You have the right solutions just for her.
Remember, your book and business success comes when you know your targeted ideal audiences inner thoughts, beliefs, habits, motivators or values, and only then!
